Outstanding features: - location is very close to town, only 2.0 km walk to waterfront (various whale tours) - postcard-quality view of the St. Lawrence river - washrooms and showers are plentiful (though some are closed to enforce spacing) and were always clean - tent sites are level and sandy, good for pegging your tent - lots of families (and early sunsets in late August) means the campground is quiet by about 9:30 pm Disappointing features: - sites are very small, probably about 250 square feet, with little to no privacy from adjacent sites; we could hear snoring from tents on each side of us and behind us -,campground is beside the highway at the top of a hill, with lots of noise from trucks grinding to climb up or braking on the way down (thankfully serviced tent sites like ours are a little further from the highway; this would be very loud for the unserviced tent sites),Crowded in middle of campground when reserved double lot,Upon arrival advised reserved photo of reserved lot prior was only “indicatif” so they don’t respect....ended up between two tents with three more around us, neighbor had picnic table, fire pit too close to tent, no water on site as reserved, stairs for washroom when reserved mobility issues (the accessible washroom was at other end of lot where we had reserved our lot), showers ate coins but did not give water, wifi was not functional was advised their permit covered 200 people and if you have 192 sights well good luck, we even had to get up and let the camper behind us out by backing our car in the little road for him to leave..reception were not open to any discussion, absolutely not what was reserved.......on the up side caterpillars lined the ground and fell on the tent all,night from the wind and the man on his golf cart was super kind as he cleaned the lots when people left....and the scenic view on the reservation photo was actually the laundry and washroom building nowhere ne’er this scenery,Don’t expect what you pay for with reservations ahead,Camping with stunning views for a few chancous, walking distance to the village, very busy in the summer time, july aug.I liked this camping even if the camping spot available was in the crowded middle of the camping. Tadoussac’s origins are Inuit, and the area is famous for whale and dolphin watching, as well as cruising up the Saguenay Fjord.
